UA Elections!
We have elections for six officer positions beginning the first quarter of 2026. All members in good standing are eligible to serve as officers and nominate other members in good standing. Self-nominations are also permitted. If you're interested in running, our current board members are happy to talk to you and answer your questions. As always, you can contact UA staff with any questions at info@uauoregon.org.
Open positions:
This year’s Executive Council positions are now open. The Executive Council (EC) is the primary leadership body of United Academics with a focus on initiating, overseeing, or revising the program of the union. The positions that are open this year are listed below with the current person in them, so you can contact the current board member with your questions.
- Executive VP (Epstein)
- Treasurer (Miller)
- VP for NTTF Instructional Affairs (Wakefield)
- VP for Diversity and Equity (Wolf)
- Chair of the Grievance and Contract Administration Committee (Howard)
- Chair of the Politics Committee (Mann)

Timeline of election:
- March 23 – Nominations due
- March 25 – Nominees announced and the candidate statements on web
- March 27 – Elections notice sent to all home addresses of members
- March 30 – April 30 – Election
- May 1 – Results announced to membership
Ballot box will be in the UA office at 603 East 13th Avenue through April 30 once ballots have been sent.
